That's pretty much sums up the plot for any great movie but in this case it's the plot for Red Dawn starring the late, great Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Grey, Harry Dean Stanton and one spectacular performance from Powers Booth.
Well, if the idea of crazy Cuban and Russian commies invading the USA in the 1980's didn't tickle your fancy then I don't know what will. Red Dawn is an action/war movie that kind of reminds me of The Patriot because after the invasion a group of teenagers and young men serve as Anti-Communist guerrilla fighters. Like in The Patriot, regular citizens form a militia with limited resources begin to target enemy headquarters, do ambushes on armoured vehicles and fight to stop the invasion from spreading.
Overall, a great film and the best argument for the second amendment that I've ever seen.
9/10, a terrific gem!
