Review of Memento

I watched Memento yesterday for the second time. The first time I only saw bits and pieces and it was confusing to say the least. I really enjoy Christopher Nolan's films with the exception of his Batman adaptations. I'm just not a fan of Batman Begins or The Dark Knight. I know, I know, I need to be tar and feathered but I don't like those movies.

I did however love Inception, which I will eventually write about as well as Insomnia the movie Nolan directed right after Memento starring Al Pacino.

Overall, I love the cast. Guy Pierce, Carrie-Ann Moss and Joe Pantoliano all gave spectacular performances. The story wasn't just absolutely original but so was the story structure. Very rarely does a director come up with an interested way to tell a story besides the standard Hollywood cause and effect way. But Christopher Nolan does and it works well.

Again, not only should you watch this movie and Inception but check out Insomnia, it's one fantastic film.

9/10 for Memento.
