One Liner Heaven

I had the opportunity to watch both Big Trouble in Little China and Point Break recently, both of which are hilarious one-liner type action movies from the 80's.

I much preferred Point Break but the ending was really crappy where as Big Trouble in Little China was a bit uneven. Both are funny and have reached the range of cult status as well.

My favorite of the two was Point Break, which was pretty hilarious for three reasons. One, the dialogue was so melodramatic and over-the-top but in a good way. Second, the fact that Kathryn Bigelow directed this movie who also directed The Hurt Locker and that makes Point Break even funnier. Third was seeing Anothy Kiedis, leader singer of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers in a small role as Tone, a bully surfer.

I'd say watch both but like I said I think Point Break is better.

Big Trouble in Little China - 7/10 and Point Break - 8/10.
